Quay Metalworks

Rob Sissons is a qualified Fitter and Turner with over twenty five years' experience in the industry. He began to specialise in 1990, when he undertook all of the stainless fabrication in the build of three sailing boats, all preparing for circumnavigation.

After a year spent sailing internationally, Rob moved from South Africa to the UK. He subsequently joined North Shore Yacht Yards in Itchenor, where he established their in-house stainless steel fabrication workshop. He went on to spend ten years fabricating stainless steel milking machine parts for a major producer in the south of England. However, it was Rob's love of sailing that led him to start Quay Metalworks in the Chichester area in 2008.

Quay Metalworks specialises in all aspects of stainless steel fabrication for sailing and motor yachts. Rob's extensive sailing experience equips him with a practical understanding of his customers' complex deck hardware needs, where he is able to quickly identify practical and cost effe
