Recording at Psyrex with Mark was a really good experience. We recorded an e.p. with Mark over a weekend, and throughout the time there I was struck by how good he is at what he does. He struck the perfect balance between offering good advice but not being overbearing, being focused on the task in hand but also creating a laid back atmosphere and was always professional and prepared whenever we communicated. Mark was also really diligent and helpful after the recording process and really good at helping out with our mixing demands (that changed a few times too ha). I would definitely recommend him to anyone, in a nutshell: affordable, really good end product, great environment, experienced engineer and professional but laid back approach. many thanks Mark, look forward to next time ;) 10/10

I have used Psyrex a few times now, and I couldn't be happier with the results. On a personal level, Mark ( owner and engineer ) will literally entertain and try anything that is asked of him, and has the patience of a saint.
Working environment is friendly and relaxed, but totally professional at all times. Like I already mentioned, a lot can be achieved in a short space of time, giving maximum bang for your buck. On top of all this, Mark positively loves what he does, treats every challenge presented as a new adventure, rather than some engineers I have worked with, that give you a death stare, if you dare suggest something a little out of their comfort zone. There is also some basic back line gear, a variety of instruments to use, and multiple mic’ing options.

To wrap up, I would recommend Psyrex wholeheartedly, you should try it out. You won't be disappointed.
