Im sure he does a great job, but it’s a shame he has his compressor running on Saturdays and Sundays in a quiet village with no regards for residents

Successful brick wall renovation

When we contacted Richard with our questions about sandblasting a Victorian brick wall he was very knowledgeable and reassuring. The process is messy but Richard kept this to a minimum and cleaned up before he left.
We would not hesitate to recommend Protinus and are thrilled with the end result!

We first got in touch with Richard at Protinus when we had just had an offer accepted and were exploring our options for restoration work. His advice was invaluable, honest and easy to understand. He even helped us speak to our local planning officer to get listed building consent sorted.

When we finally completed on our purchase he managed to squeeze us in at quite short notice and even finished the work quicker (and therefore at a lower cost) than we first expected which was a complete and unexpected bonus.

The beams and doors all look absolutely incredible now - they've gone from a horrible varnished mahogany colour to a beautiful natural oak. We lived in the property throughout and they worked so hard to keep areas clean and liveable, paying particular attention to cleaning any rooms my three year old daughter would use that night. We were left with barely any clean up to do ourselves and the work has absolutely transformed our home.

First class service!!!!

1st class service from start to finish!! Within 24 hours of my initial enquiry, a site visit had been booked for the following day (Richard came all the way down from the Midlands to Surrey) to quote for us. All other companies we had contacted took over a week to respond and also wanted to charge for a site visit!

We were amazed at the speed the work to our entire house was completed and at such a reasonable price too. The house was left exactly how we had left it with no mess left behind at all. Richard was knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with and comes highly recommended to anyone needing similar work done. We finally have gorgeous restored beams after years of thick gloss had been applied. No damage to the timber at all.

We cannot reccomend Protinus Beams highly enough! Give them a call, you wont be disappointed.

Richard and his team did an excellent job in cleaning many beams in my old house that goes back to the 15th and 16th century. Not only did they appreciate the historical importance of the house, but they also were very sympathetic in their work. I've had experience with another sandblasting company before and they damaged a lot of the infilled panels too, causing expensive repairs. Not so with Protinus. They did the beams, and nothing but the beams! .......
