Prompt Airport Cars is based in London and provide Private Hire Airport Transfers from London Airports, Executive and VIP chauffeur driven transfers to anywhere in London or in the UK, London Tours, Day hire, Coach services and Inter-city transfers. While we are based in London we provide pickups and drop offs to anywhere in the UK provided either the destination or pickup is within London or its surrounding areas. We serve 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days in a year.

We are fully licensed private hire operator based in London, officially licensed by Public Carriage Office, Transport for London and comply with all the requirements as set by PCO.

All our drivers are also fully licensed by PCO (Public Carriage Office) fully vetted and CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) checked. We only work with professional drivers who have years of experience in the industry and maintain high standards of service.

As a part of our licensing process with PCO, Transport for London we maintain our own Public Liability Insurance and all our drivers have their own PHV (Private Hire Insurance) for the vehicles they drive and passengers are fully covered for any claims arise because of an accident while traveling with Prompt Airport Cars.

The Drive Around the World

1. Mishaps with the website didn't allow me to book until the morning of my trip. Only got voicemail when calling the customer service number. Call back was within 4 minutes, but further issues required us to move to text message.

2. Arrived at the domestic terminal and could not find the driver. Spent 30 minutes of walking around the airport, texting the customer service person, and waiting. Learned that he was standing at the international arrivals gate and not domestic.

3. Drive in took 1 hr. 10 minutes as expected.

4. I changed my pickup to 3:30 and cut my meeting short to give time for traffic heading back to Gatwick airport. Driver arrived at 3:35, which was still enough time for me to make my flight.

Here is where I get upset.

This driver took the longest route possible out of London. He knew I was flying out of Gatwick! Where in God's green earth did he take me through Shepard's Bush, Chiswick, and out to Heathrow. I knew he was lost because in the middle of rush hour traffic he should not have been texting and mapping out directions. Again, for those that don't know. Gatwick is SOUTH and he took me DUE WEST!!! As we were driving through, we heard on the radio that there was a massive traffic jam counterclockwise on the M25, but he didn't listen. I said, "There’s a traffic jam" and he said, "Don’t worry, it's on the other side". Well SURPRISE SURPRISE it we ran straight into the massive traffic jam. He should have taken the A23, so I can only put this down to incompetence on the company and driver. PLUS they assumed that since I was foreign, that I didn't know any better, but I mapped my route.

Well no big surprise that in the middle of rush hour traffic, the trip took OVER TWO HOURS and I MISSED MY FLIGHT. I text the number to let him know how unhappy I was that it would cost me over 400 to book another flight and hotel. Not to mention the time I had to spend on the phone with the airline trying to make other arrangements. I left at 3:35pm and didn't arrive until 5:45pm. My flight left at 6:10pm. If he had known where he was going, he would not have driven west and would have gone due south and missed the FREAKING traffic jam. I would like to thank him for pointing out that we were passing Heathrow Airport. That was great considering it wasn't my FREAKING airport.

This was the golden part, the customer service agent said it was my fault because I should have left for the airport at 2pm. If that was the case, why didn't I just hold a conference call? He also asked me not to write an unfair feedback review. Well, considering you took me WEST when my airport was SOUTH! Didn't listen to the radio traffic announcements, and said it was my fault. I can't even imagine what an unfair review would sound like in this case. Should I say you did an amazing job????? Also, thank you for telling me not to call your cellphone after this was the number you provided for me to call earlier the day when you wanted the business. I think the best part was the 5 minute LECTURE the customer service agent gave me about leaving on time and that the driver took the quickest route out of the city. Again, SAVE THAT LIE FOR A PERSON WHO IS BLIND AND DOESN'T KNOW THE CITY. He took the route that the GPS gave him because he had no idea where he was going. Thank you to the customer service agent that said, I got the service I paid for and I should be happy because they were kind enough to upgrade my car. Most important, thank you Prompt Car because I will be promptly telling my company and our sister corporation that we are not to use your service as we start business in our new London location. Thanks for not giving me my money back for the scenic
