At PrestonÂ’s College we are proud to be a truly inclusive community college, offering a wide range of courses at all levels to a diverse group of learners of all ages. With our best ever results in 2012/13 and with students winning major awards for their skills on courses from Construction to Hairdressing we are improving the life chances of those who choose to study at with us.

This was demonstrated through our recent Ofsted report, rating the College as ‘Good’ with some areas graded as ‘Outstanding’. This is compounded by our best ever results – with overall success rates of over 90%.

Unorganised mess

-When walking through the college campus to reception on the day of my interview a member of staff spoke to me like a child simply because I did not have a lanyard on. When stating I was there for an interview she quickly changed her tune however I guarantee if I looked older than I do she would not have done the same.
-The receptionist wrongly informed me of the gender and name of my interviewer and took 5 minutes after I arrived before phoning them to let me know I was sat waiting.
-My interviewer was 25 minutes late and did not apologise or give an explanation as to why this was.
-The interviewer also spoke to me as if I was a child.
-I was not informed to take any past qualifications to the interview, therefore, I did not have any to provide when asked.
-The interviewer wrote down incorrect information when I responded to one of her questions and had no knowledge of the course I was going on to.

I could go on but due to the word count I can not!

Excellent course and tutors

The course was professional, well organised and well taught. Materials were useful and good quality. Registration system was really very easy compared to other colleges.
