Potters

We are redecorating our bedroom. Thanks to the lovely staff at Potters, our tired and dated flat pack furniture destined for disposal and replacement, now looks like new. £22.50 in paint and about 5 hours of painting.

Still managing to be friendly, helpful and efficient whilst following Covid-19 guidelines, as always, Potters and Hockley are family.

Mid-afternoon on Saturday we realized that we had run out of smokeless coal and it was due to snow on Sunday!
I cannot visit shops at the moment so I phoned Potters who cheerfully delivered two bags of coal in less than an hour,

My wife and I visited Potters today. My wife is exempt from wearing a mask under the Coronavirus Regulations and the Equality Act. She has MS. She was denied entry without a certificate of exemption, which anyone can download from the internet, which carries no significance whatsoever. This is discrimination against disability.

We have shopped throughout lockdowns. My wife has never been denied entry , neither has her exemption status been questioned, until now.

I sympathise with businesses trying to survive during lockdown. It is horrendous.

However, I find your attitude towards my wife insensitive and unacceptable. Henceforth, with goods sold by Potters we shall buy on line.

This is the best there is, if they have not got it - they will get it for you. They are all very knowledgeable about their stock, and always helpful. I have been using this shop since 1968, and they have never let me down. Hockley is so lucky to have such a great asset, and they support the community totally.
