Portway’s managers and supervisors are Site Management

Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualified and our scaffolding

teams are directly employed and CISRS qualified. All our staff

and scaffolders also receive regular skills and health and

safety training. This means that Portway erection teams

maintain and follow current industry best practice standards.

Portway is CHAS and SMAS accredited. All of our employees

work to the industry Health & Safety standards SG4:15 and

TG20:13. Each week, Portway scaffolding structures that are

onsite are inspected by a qualified inspector to ensure that they

meet building regulations and health and safety requirements.

Portway Scaffolding offers a safety netting and edge

protection service that provides collective passive fall

protection. Our operatives are FASET, IPAF and PASMA

trained to the highest level. Our safety netting solutions are

suitable of steel frame, block work and timber frame

buildings. We offer an optional debris protection netting

solution to line our fall protection nets. Our safety nets

comply to 1263-1 and 1263-2.

Portway has the in-house capability to deliver high-quality

scaffold designs that are practical and safe and meet the

demands of BS EN 12811-1, TG20:13 and EN1991-1-4:2005.

All designs that we are responsible for are compliant with BS

5975:2008+A1:2011 Code of Practice for Temporary Works.
