Established in 1958 Portraits by Hart is now one of the longest established family run portrait studios in the UK. Awarded SWPP UK Digital Art Photographer of the Year.

Portraits by Hart was established back in 1958 & is now one of the longest established family run photographic portrait studios in the UK. We specialize in high quality studio portraiture of families, children, babies, dogs, cats & business portraits. Our large and comfortable studio can easily accommodate family groups of 20 or more adults plus children.

Throughout the years we have won many awards. Most recently we were awarded the title of SWPP UK Digital Art Photographer of the Year & have won over 50 SWPP Gold awards.

All finishing work is carried out on the premises, this means we have complete control over the final quality of our finished portraits. All photography, retouching, picture framing and printing is all carried out in house.

Another major part of our business is photograph copying and restoration. We have been repairing, colourizing and retouching old and modern photographs for over 50 years, preserving memories for generations to come.

Ciné Film Conversion

I gave Hart the task of restoring, cleaning and converting my 50 year old family Ciné films. The results are outstanding. The resolution of the films is superb, considering their age. I have had Ciné films converted previously with other companies, but never to this quality. The overall service was also highly professional and competent at all times. A family-run and customer friendly company. Strongly recommended.

recent family photo session

having had a family potrait done for my wife's birthday .the owners were first class from start to finish .they made us feel relaxed & welcome .which made us enjoy the photo session.they are a credit to what they do .you can see why they have been in the trade for 60 years .best wishes John Joy & family

Amazing Restoration

My wife found an old family photo that had been stored in her parents loft and had become very badly damaged. We thought it was so bad - as we took it out the frame it was literally falling apart - it would be beyond salvaging but because it was of her Great Grandparents on their wedding day she could not bear to throw it out without checking. We are so pleased that we took it to Portraits by Hart. The finished result was beyond our expectations and the detail they were able to bring out of the original was fantastic. A little part of our family history has been returned to us better than new and we can't say thank you enough.
