PMT Birmingham

PMT Birmingham is Professional Music Technology’s largest, flagship music shop. With over 14,000 sq ft filled to the rafters with Guitars, Drums, Keyboards, Pianos and DJ and Recording equipment, it truly is a 'Rock n Roll' theatre where everyone is welcome to come in and find their perfect instruments and equipment.

This music store includes dedicated sound booths, a stage area for live performances, plenty of helpful staff, and even a café where you’ll spy autographs from some of rock’s greatest artists that have performed and shopped in-store (look out for Robert Plant, Noel Gallagher, Stereophonics, Radiohead, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmstien, The Prodigy and Tony Iommi’s scribbles!).

PMT Birmingham is also home to our very own annual Music Show - Music’s Live… The UK’s largest shop-based music trade show and clearance event.

If it’s a guitar shop you’re after, our ‘House of Rock’ in Birmingham houses the largest guitar wall in Europe, including electric guitar and bass brands such as Fender, Gibson, PRS, Rickenbacker, Schecter and Gretsch, amongst the very tasty one-offs and exclusive pieces too!

Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn or a seasoned pro, there’s also plenty of amps to plug into... with Orange, Marshall, Vox, Fender, Ashdown and Blackstar amplifiers filling the floor to name a few.

Looking for an acoustic guitar to play? We also have a huge acoustic department displaying some of the finest acoustic guitars in the West Midlands. We also have a dedicated Taylor Guitar room, along with stunning Martin, Faith and Yamaha acoustic guitars.

And if you want to experiment with your sound, there’s hundreds of guitar pedals to choose from, from our friends at TC Electronic, BOSS and Electro-Harmonix, to Wampler, Strymon, MXR, Dunlop and more. We also have a luthier in-store who can set up, restring and fix your guitar, and an amplifier technician that can repair your amp too.
