Rare to find a shop that has been on the same site 50+ years - that tells you something. Mr Pilkington has been a watchmaker for 50 years and is always able to give free advice and fairly priced repairs. The whole operation works like a family set up and offers a personal service that is hard to find on the modern high street. Always interesting pre loved items inc Rolex’s etc in the window .

I was recommended to go to Pilkington Jewellers by my mum who has been using them for about 30 years as I needed a repair done to a ring (with sentimental value) from my partner and my Rolex was due a service. The watch man, Mr Pilkington, was absolutely brilliant and has made the watch look brand new! Really appreciate the great service and advise he gave me about looking after it (better than I was!), and my ring looks fantastic - I can tell they really care about what they do. Thanks to everyone there!

We have used Pilkingtons for many years and have received consistently excellent service, whether buying, selling, seeking advice or for jewellery repairs. The latter has involved antiques as well as more recent pieces. Whatever the requirement or challenge, it has been met with extreme courtesy and a smile. What more could anyone want?! ZERO STARS - watch repair to an expensive watch with huge sentimental value. TERRIBLE SERVICE and an EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE ANDAGGRESSIVE WATCH REPAIRER who in his words said he didn't care about the sentimentality of my watch and if not happy 'dont come back!' He couldn't tell me what he'd done to my watch as he couldn't remember. For all I know all he's done is correct the time!! THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

I have used Pilkington's many times to repair my Rolex and I am never disappointed with the quick reliable service they provide. If I send it away to Rolex I usually have to wait 6-10 weeks rather than the 1-2 at Pilkington's. Great work!
