Our customer wanted the mortar board hat placed at an angle as shown which meant a larger frame was needed. This would also mean the photo flanking the hat would look smaller. To counter this we increased the area of the photo by 'floating' it on its backing enabling to accommodate a larger window.
Two unique items along with the patent certificate framed in a contemporary style to suit the company's corporate colours. We had to ensure no fixings were visible. We lined the box frame in black. See the other images in more detail.
Precise jointing of frames which are glued and pinned by the latest pneumatic underpinners. Notice the inner lining in black. I see so many frames that are left showing the bare wood. Good finishing is essential.

This is one of those skin tight vests that don't lend themselves to framing. We had to make a contour template and squeeze it inside the vest, then we pinned to the back mount with the outer mounts raised to accommodate the signed photo without using harmful tapes or adhesive. UV filter glass used.
A deep 4'' box frame was used for this signed glove, hence the use of a wide moulding frame to conceal the sides of the box. Multiple layers of mounts and a sublimation plaque enhance the presentation. Good quality framing will preserve your valuable items and protect them.
There are lots of ways to frame coins and medals and often framers go over the top with fancy mounts and colours. I listened to what our client wanted and where it would be hung. What he didn't expect was the addition of the photo which found on the we. I finished it off with sepia ink calligraphy.
Stretched and framed and, unusually, with an aluminium moulding. This is where we go the extra mile. We hand coloured the inner mount to match the frame. Our client is very precise to the point of perfection. He knows all about the variety of glazing and chose our amazing 'invisible' UV filter glass
We avoided the use of multi-window mounts with these items to keep the size down for the client. The challenge was the model car. The podium it sits on was hand made and painted. It was raised above a yellow oval to give it depth. See other photo. Instead of a box frame we used a deep moulding.
No glue used. Notice the inner lining of the deep moulding is the same colour as the window mount.
Each one was dry mounted and raised 1cm to give the appearance of floating above the backing mountboard. The label string was tucked and fixed behind. The colours and frame went perfectly with the theme of their Caribbean honeymoon.
This lot wanted framing after a 30th in the Big Apple. The client gave me a free hand so I cropped some things, and went to work on a challenge. I overlapped the photos, dry mounted the menus, and printed a Stars and Stripes to place the passport photo strip on with a wave effect. See other photos.

The wood box frame was 5'' deep because of the Godiva chocolate box which had a rose on top. The tickets and door cards were mounted on red to highlight them more. Eight hours of work!
This looks like simple framing but it wasn't. These are real heavy duty ship flags with eyelets and thick stitching which I had to conceal. The trick was to fix the top flag over the bottom one without it falling or showing any pins tags. I made a support and concealed the sewing. Six feet wide!

Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've used Lawrence for years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. He's an absolute craftsman, and his advice on choice of frames has been brilliant.
I have pictures that he framed for me years ago that still attract comments from friends and visitors, as do all the ones he did recently for me when we moved house. I used to live close by but now I happily drive for an hour to his shop. His expertise is worth it. He's brilliant.
