Rebecca Maunder LRAM, Royal Academy of Music, London. Piano and Cello Tuition.

I offer lessons in Piano, Cello, and preparation for the practical part of GCSE / A-Level Music exams.

Learn with a friendly, highly qualified and experienced teacher, and professional musician.

All ages welcome, from 8yrs upwards.

Absolute beginners to advanced level.

Choose to play simply for pleasure, or take ABRSM grade exams, for which I have 100% pass rate.

Lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each student, according to their aims and ability, and the style of music they wish to play.

Lessons are relaxed and informal, and take place in the comfort of my music room at home. They are offered for 30 mins, 45 mins or 1 hour, and are available after school, week-day evenings and Saturday mornings.

My aim is to enable everyone I teach and work with to discover the pleasure of playing and making music.

Rebecca has been teaching me piano since April of this year, and thanks to her I have made steady progress. She is an excellent teacher, she tailors my lessons to my abilities, and is patient and encouraging.
Rebecca's way of teaching and her enthusiasm has made my lessons very enjoyable. I would recommend Rebecca to anyone who wants to learn.

An inspiring teacher

Rebecca is a very inspiring and thoughtful teacher. I have had piano lessons with her since I was a child apart from a break when I was at university. She has always been incredibly encouraging and now has become a kind of mentor to me as I try to develop a career in music. Her enthusiasm and love for music is evident in her teaching as she offers insight and attention to detail in every piece we look at. As well as being an excellent teacher, she is a very kind person and lessons with Rebecca are always enjoyable and productive.

Came to Rebecca as a mature student a few years ago, I had only limited knowledge of self taught electronic keyboards,I couldn't read music or play Piano. I can now read music and am currently playing/studying at an intermediate level and still learning all the time. If you are prepared to put in the effort with this Teacher, Her enthusiasm and high standards will soon become infectious and your learning journey will be enjoyable and rewarding - not to mention a few laughs along the way - would highly recommend.
