Here at Phoenix Physiotherapy Lancashire Limited, we have over 23 years of experience in the industry. We provide a professional and reliable service including sports injury assessment, acupuncture, rehabilitation following surgery, back and neck pain assessment and a range of hands-on therapies, exercise programs, sports and aromatherapy massage including during pregnancy and cancer treatment.

We offer Pilates classes and one to one sessions including Pilates reformer. Holistic Therapies such as reflexology, Japanese facial massage.

We are also home to Mynd Hypnotherapy, HRH Sports therapy and Alexandra Brookes injury management and Pilates.

We offer great value for money with follow up appointments of 45 mins. We are passionate about involving patients in their recovery ensuring they fully understand the reason for their pain and movement problems, looking at prevention as well as solutions. Ms Holly Heathcote - Sports Therapist

Joined in

Holly has excellent injury assessment, manual therapy and exercise prescription skills having worked in Rugby union along side Julie as a student and then as first team head therapist once qualified. Holly has recently achieved her personal trainer qualification and regular uses acupuncture.

Ms Alexandra Brookes - Sports Rehabilitator and Holistic Therapist

Joined in

Alex graduated from the University of Bolton in 2010 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation. Her career has varied from rugby union to pelvic floor rehab. Alex has extensive Pilates training including pre and post pregnancy and Reformer Pilates, medical acupuncture and excellent hands on skills. Alex also offers many holistic therapies including massage during cancer treatment and pregnancy.

Ms Julie Manley - Chartered Physiotherapist

Joined in

Julie has over 23 years experience in Physiotherapy ranging from NHS and private hospitals to elite and grassroots rugby. Manual therapy, Acupuncture and taping are key components of many of her treatment sessions. Julie teaches several Pilates classes and one to one sessions each week in addition to being Director of Phoenix Physiotherapy.

Ms Karen Melhuish - Solution Focused Hypnotherapist

Karen offers Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy for a range of problems including anxiety, depression and addiction. This combines the use of psychotherapy and hypnosis with well researched strategies to enable clients to make positive long lasting changes within a relatively short period of time.
