Hi. My name is Phil Clark. I am an experienced musician (saxophones, clarinet and flute) and have been repairing woodwind instruments since 2004. I run my own repair business from my fully insured home workshop in New Milton on the outskirts of the New Forest. I also play in various bands and can provide jazz music for your event, anything from a duo to a full big band!'

Excellent woodwind service

Phil is excellent. He always explains exactly what service/ repairs he thinks will be needed when he receives your instrument and gives you a rough estimate of the costs involved.

Thanks Ruth. Repairs aren't cheap and I always try to give the most accurate estimates I can for minimum, maximum, and most likely costs. These are based on my statistics for previous similar jobs and therefore are usually pretty accurate. It helps for the customer to know what costs they might be in for, and helps me to be able to progress with the work knowing that the customer will not be getting any nasty surprises part way through the job!

Tenor sax repairs

Took my Tenor sax to Phil as it was not playing in the lower register properly. He soon spotted the problem along with other issues that prevented me playing correctly. All the work was completed by the next day and I was back playing again. Highly recommended for service and maintenance. Very proficient at his work.

My saxophone needed a service and also had a few issues. I took it to Phil who diagnosed the main problem and explained this to me. I have just collected it and it sounds brilliant. Can’t wait to go to rehearsals now as I have an instrument that plays like it should.

Saxophone assessment and service

As a novice learning on a second-hand instrument, I didn't realise that the faults with the instrument were what was preventing me from making progress. Thanks to Phil's great work, I am now finding the playing of certain notes much easier. First class job. Thanks again Phil.
