Work experience
5My name is Hillary Rodriguez Velasco, I am a year 10 student at Stratford School Academy and I am interested in a career with animals. I am attaching my CV due to the fact I would love to be able to have a taste of my future job at your establishment and learn as much as I can about my passion. This experience would broaden and enrich my knowledge about animals, their needs and fears, but, also it will demonstrate me if I am the right candidate for the job.
I hope to hear from you soon,
Best regards,
Hillary Rodriguez Velasco.
WORK EXPERIENCE
4My name is Lesley, I am 14 years old and I am a Year 10 student at St Michael's Catholic College and I'm looking for work experience from the 2nd of July 2018 to the 15th of July 2018. I'm currently looking for work experience that involves retail, getting to learn what pets need or taking care of animals as I would love to be a Vet in the near future. I believe this would be a great place to learn and gain the right experience I need in order to achieve my dream. Thank you for taking your time reading this message and I am looking forward to hearing from you very soon.

5don't know what they talking about
4Hello Mark, Thanks for your review - and im glad you have pointed out how knowledgeable our staff are. im not sure why the above states "do not know what they are talking about" when your comment states to ask the young girl any questions as she knows all about the reptiles. She is in fact the manager of our animal section and is in everyday - so there is always someone with expert knowledge. There are also 2 other members of staff that have undergone and passed pet management courses - and we pride ourselves on offering free expert advice to all of our customers. Im sorry if you feel you have been given wrong information - it is possible you spoke to our volunteer or trainee who would of done the best they could have to helped you. We do also offer free leaflets and there are books available to purchase - we are however not vets and do not claim to know everything.

In regards to our reptiles being kept in the wrong conditions - please tell me what has lead you to make this comment? There is no expense spared with our reptiles environments - they have everything they could desire and we offer them above and beyond the requirements they need. Heat equipment is tested & recorded and UV tubes are changed every 4 months. All our pets have a variety of different hides, textures, substrates and foliage as well as waterfalls, misters, other specialist equipment. As well as handling and socialisation time they get.
There is not a single tank in our shop that is too small for its inhabitants - and i would ask anyone to come an look for themselves in regards to this untrue statement. In fact most of our reptiles have double if not triple the minimum requirements as set out in "model conditions for pet licensing" we have also just had our annual review/inspection from tower hamlets council who passed us no recommendations for changes - i have never ever heard anything but praise and admiration for our pets welfare. If your comments were true we would not still have our license.
Also - lastly - your comment about our live food - this should have been brought to our attention and we would have replenished it with fresh stock or told you when our next batch was due in. Live food is restocked 2 or 3 times a week - but sometimes you do have to look through for the best looking boxes. Yes it does die - sometimes quicker than we would anticipate - it has a short lifespan. We would never try and sell livefood that was dying, this would always be removed - or offered at discounted prices. If in future you do find any problems within the shop - please do bring this to our attention and we will do our best to make sure the situation is rectified. Kind Regards Pets Paradise
