I am Dr Peter Falconer, and I want to help you live a more musical life! Piano, singing, composition, theory, performance, and music technology lessons for all ages and abilities. 20+ years of teaching experience. Currently my youngest student is 7, and my oldest is in their late 60s!

I teach Piano, singing, composition, theory and music technology from my home in West Molesey; and composition, theory, and music technology either from my home or on Zoom. Lessons cost £30 per half hour session.

I have been a professional musician for nearly 30 years, playing solo and in bands across the UK and Europe; my music has been performed on BBC Radio 3; I have a PhD in Music Composition from the University of Southampton, an enhanced DBS check certificate, and am a qualified Mental Health First Aider, accredited by MHFA England. I also make a lovely cup of tea and a mean shortbread.

Fantastic singing teacher! You can’t go wrong!

Peter is a highly qualified, experienced and very talented teacher, singer and musician. He is also patient and reassuring, which is perfect for new and nervous students. As my teacher he took me from never having sung in front of even friends or family to auditioning for and singing in a band. I definitely could not have achieved this without his never ending enthusiasm, encouragement and of course the way he managed to take the seemingly impossible and make it easy for me to grasp. I owe a lot of fun, confidence and happy times to Peter’s expertise and can thoroughly recommend that anyone else does the same. I’m certain you’ll improve your singing and have a great deal of fun in the process!

Peter has been teaching my daughter to play the piano for a few months. She loves her lessons. Peter is an excellent teacher - kind, patient, and very knowledgeable.

Excellent Piano Teacher

I have been having piano lessons with Peter since the start of the year and have greatly improved. As someone who was new to the piano he was very patient with me and explained theory in terms a novice would understand. Outside of the lesson he set me tasks which helped me progress. I would definitely recommend Peter, he is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, encouraging and talented.

Would recommend without hesitation

Peter is an excellent singing teacher - extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and encouraging. Lessons are challenging in a good way, really helping you to get the best out of yourself, and they are also, crucially, great fun! I've gone from never-sung-a-note-in-anger to confident enough to sing in public at my local pub open mike night. I really recommend him - thank you Peter!

Thanks to Peter's hard work, my singing voice is sounding stronger than ever. Not only does he help with developing my technique, he often makes wonderful suggestions for building my repertoire. Peter makes his lessons fun and I completely trust him.
