The Pest Control Man was called at 9.45am, and promised a visit for 10.00am. He arrived on time and surveyed the problems with my husband. The most pressing was last night we heard scratching and clawing above our heads in the bedroom. As we have no loft, and a metal roof, the sound echoed. My husband and I had got the ladders out, after midnight, and the big torch but saw nothing on our roof; but as we are at the end of a terrace row it could be the "rat?" could run the length of the row. He identified the possible intrusion areas AND advised the SBC pest control may be the best option as one or tow of our neighbours are elderly and may be eligible for discounts. He further advised that the mouse we have had in the bathroom airing cupboard was not related and needed a humane trap to deal with the problem. By 11.15am the SBC pest control had come back with their action plan and all is to be sorted with shared costs instead of one home owner paying for the treatment; as our man who came to visit inferred. So he's done the job in more ways than one - Prompt callout, Surveyed the problem, Advised group Action, AT A REDUCED COST for 4 homes - whereas if HE tackled the problem WE as one homeowner would have to pay a huge bill!
