Reviews

Poor customer service with extra frame scratches thrown in.

Put in bike to have smaller handlebars fitted on a Monday, after a preliminary visit when the owner said the job would take two days. On bringing in the bike, he did not mention that the shop would be closed the next day since they were heading to England...had to find this out via a Facebook post. Would not have left the bike there had I known.
When I collected the bike, there was a scratch on the frame, the new bars are in fact no narrower on the drops and new but cheap looking bar tape was poking out of the bar-end fittings at all angles.
In addition, the owner had spoken down to me on a previous visit.
Will not be recommending this place and will never be back.

Pedal Power bike experts providing great service

5
Truly great friendly local bike business. They know their bikes and will get you something just right for you. We’ve bought three bikes so far from Pedal Power and we will return.

After sales service first class too.

Can't get simple things right - poor servive

Went in for brake cable - told needed old cable. I descibed the bike but no - needed old cable. I felt I was being talked down to. Brought old cable in and bought new cable which was £9+. Dicovered cable outer was too small - not for brake but for gear - too small to cable to go more than a few inches in. Took it back and said it does not fit. Was told yes it does. The younger mechanic. recognised it was a gear cable outer so not suitable for the brake cable as it was for a thinner gear cable. I felt that I was talked down to in the shop.
This was my third visit to the shop for what I felt was a basic item. I live 6 miles outside Inverurie so travelled a total of 36 miles to get a simple item. I was talked down to. The young mechanic did blurt out a brief apology after I pressed him about getting the wrong cable outer. To cap it all I found Halford has a set of front and rear cables fot £9.95. So I guess it's Halfords for bike bits from now on.
