Paul Balmer has studied violin-making from modern day Master Luthiers and gained an in depth knowledge of the classical makers from the many restorations that have been entrusted to him. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the restoration and crafting of concert-class instruments.
Paul also studied at Trinity College London where he gained an LTLC performance diploma and was awarded a scholarship for further study. His career as a performer has taken him all over the UK and Europe playing with many leading orchestras as well as giving recitals.
It is this combined knowledge and skill that he brings to our workshop.
