I recently went to a quilting show in my home town in Lincolnshire and was so impressed I can't wait to have a go.
As I was on holiday the following week in the Manchester area I looked up quilting stores on the internet and found Patchfinders.
When I visited the member of staff couldn't be more helpful, she advised that being a beginner I didn't need to buy cutter, memory mat and ruler, if I didn't carry on after the first project it would be an expensive try, also, have a pattern before spending money on numerous pieces of material, but have a look round and I would probably find one piece that I would love to start my stash, I found three (the choice is amazing).
I think it's well worth a special trip and I wish I had something like it in my area.

I have been a customer at Patchfinders for several years and attend classes there regularly. I also, have never written a review before but felt I must reply to the previous statement.
In my experience the staff have always been helpful, friendly and very experienced in assisting with material/patterns/colour combinations etc. if asked.
The shop is clean and tidy, the choice of materials fantastic and a terrible temptation to any patchworker!
There is a good variety of classes available suitable for beginners up to more experienced workers.
I feel we are very lucky to have such a good facility in this area and would highly recommend it.
