Partiz

My wife was told 3 days before flying to Vegas they'd be an 80's theme party, she was looking all around Windsor with no luck, so went online and spotted Partiz in Slough. I called them the day before she flew out and the man (owner/manager) answering the phone was incredibly warm, friendly and helpful and also able to run through a list of stock he had straight from memory, which was ideal. We drove over from Windsor and the store was full of all kinds of outfits and accessories and a whole load of 80's paraphernalia. We got chatting in store and it was so relaxed and friendly that I felt obliged to post a review especially as I saw a poor review from 4 years ago that bears no resemblance to the atmosphere I encountered. The owner and staff in the store made us extremely welcome and we had a long old chat before leaving - thank you for the excellent service and for being there to aid my wife in her moment of need! :)

I used the shop today (16/11/13) to buy some nylon wire (similar to fishing wire) to build a balloon arch at a fund raising day for children with diabetes. With his apologies, the owner told me that he did not stock any such wire - all that he had was his own for his own balloon arches. I explained the situation, and that we desperately needed the wire for a good cause (could not find anywhere else). Reluctantly he agreed to let us have some of his own, claiming he would not have enough left for his own use (reeling 20m off of an enormous roll). Taking advantage of our desperate situation - and completely dismissing the good cause and our charitable efforts - he charged us £5.00!!! I know well that you can get a full reel of this stuff (200-500m) for around £3.00. If only there was somewhere else in Slough to get hold of some! Granted this is a business with the goal of making money, but my philosophical views would suggest that this was wrong - and frankly heartless!
