Poor value for money

If you expect to become a self-employed gas engineer after completing this course, without some prior plumbing/gas experience or contacts in the business, forget it. All you would leave with is the practical skills to do a basic fire and boiler service, some welding and pipe bending. Installing a boiler - not covered, plumbing a boiler - not covered, wiring a boiler - not covered, swapping a boiler - not covered, installing flues - not covered, flushing a system - not covered, plumbing - not covered, installing radiators - not covered, fault finding - not covered, replacing parts - not covered. You are taking a £6000 risk on being able to get a good placement and once qualified that placement offering you a full-time position but in most cases this does not happen and most jobs applications are expecting at least 2 years all round experience. Offering to work for free to get some experience maybe the only option.
