John is a really inspirational teacher. His musical knowledge is excellent and as I struggle with the more theoretical side he is very patient and breaks things down to make them easier to take in. John can play all styles of music on guitar and breaks things down to the basics and builds up your knowledge and skill at just the right pace. My aim is to be able to play the John does, this is very ambitious but I am sure that he will guide me to achieve my goals. If you are considering music lessons I would have no problem to recommend John.

I have been having weekly lessons with John now for just over 12 weeks, and I have far exceeded where I expected to be at this stage of my development. I have started from scratch and thanks to Johns structured plan and guidance the journey so far has been relatively straightforward. Now I have learnt the basics, I plan to continue having regular lessons to keep progressing. I would highly recommend John if you are thinking about taking up the guitar or looking to move your playing on to the next level, his knowledge and experience, together with his learning techniques enable you to get to where you need to!

John is a great guitar teacher and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Not only is he helping me to develop my guitar playing knowledge and technique but he always has interesting suggestions for what to listen to for some inspiration. John has an enthusiastic but laid-back and understanding approach and I always come away from lessons feeling motivated and wanting to play more.

I have been using John as a guitar teacher for a number of years now. He is a solid teacher for both piano and guitar lessons.

You will learn the fundamentals/theory and the lessons will be focused around what you want to learn. A great teacher for beginners to advanced levels.

I can’t recommend John enough and I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey of learning guitar and music through John.

After not playing for so many years I was very nervous about my age in learning again. John Oswin made feel immediately at ease and comfortable in his company. Thank you, John, you have made my retirement pleasurable.
