Well stocked but not well-coming

Good variety of stock, some Warlord and Perry Miniatures and a nice selection of boxed wargames as well as boardgames. They seem to have a good number of roleplaying game (manuals?) but since I don't play them I can't say too much about the quality, selection, etc. They stock some paints and paintbrushes, cheaper than Games Workshop/Warhammer which is 15-20mins up the road.
The reception you can expect from the staff ranges from polite efficiency, through complete indifference towards abrupt rudeness. Do not expect any small talk or friendly chitchat. This is a shame, especially if you've travelled especially to shop there but since we don't know what it's like working there in the centre of a busy tourist area it's hard to judge. The only thing I will say is that they don't seem very knowledgeable about the products they sell. Or perhaps they are but don't want to share this information.
In conclusion: well worth a visit but don't expect much in the way of human interaction.

Brilliant small gaming shop

For such a small space, orcs nest has a huge array of table top games laid out intuitively and efficiently.

Variety, but customer service can be a bit hit and miss.

Convenient location. There is variety, so worth visiting. Some members of staff are very polite and welcoming, while others can be a bit.. abrupt to put it mildly.
In my last visit I found out that the product I bought was 5 pounds less expensive in both the publisher's website and another London store.
I emailed them to get the free PDF that came along, and mentioned that i was a bit dissapointed with the price difference. They emailed straight back saying that the supplier hadn't notified them that the suggested price had decreased. When I then asked for some discount or incentive for my next visit, I didn't hear from them in two days, until i prompted them again at which point they said they couldn't offer it and that i should speak to the owner.
I had been using them for years, but after that I think I'll be going elsewhere in the future. Which is a shame.
All in all, worth visiting but i would suggest doing your research about prices in other stores before buying.
