Orchard Electrical Services is a family-owned Electrical Contractor, specialising in domestic installations. We are based in Colchester and are happy to travel to all surrounding areas. We offer a complete service, from replacing a broken light switch through to a full rewire or extension.

All work undertaken complies with the relevant building control and wiring regulations (BS 7671: 2022). We are Part P Approved and can be found on the Electrical Competent Person Register and through the NICEIC website.

Our business philosophy is based around customer satisfaction. We prefer to rely on personal recommendations and repeat business, rather than advertising. This can only be achieved by providing top quality service.

I had no hot water on a Sunday morning on the coldest day of the year (11/12/22) and called Matthew Orchard at 8:20am. He was round within the hour and fixed it for me. He was friendly, honest and helpful, and very competitive. I cannot believe the service I received it was superb. By far the best tradesmen service I have ever received, and he will be recommended to all my friends and family.

Having decided to have several electrical points added to both our garden and patio areas we spoke to a few different electricians and decided to go with Matthew. This proved to be a very wise decision, as he was polite, reliable, and professional through out all the work he did for us and this work was completed to a very high standard. Would certainly use again !

I called Matt to undertake several electrical repairing work at my home. He was extremely polite, punctual and meticulous with his work. Not only his prices were among the most competitive, he even charged me less, since he finished the work before the agreed time. I highly recommend Orchard Electrical Services.

The perfect tradesman

Matt has done a complete re-wire in our family home for a very reasonable price, and I cannot speak highly enough of his ability, or his attitude towards customer care. He was careful, tidy, punctual, and when something completely out of his hands went wrong, he stayed late to fix it free of charge!!! Just an absolute gentleman who I would happily employ again!!
