Mike has just completed some work for us fitting cupboards and work surfaces in the utility room. We were most impressed with his meticulous and professional approach. Nothing was too much trouble and we are delighted with the result. We would heartily recommend him.

We had some long-standing niggling issues in our kitchen such as broken cupboard doors & the fridge door which would not align with the integrated door. Mike assessed the problem & fixed them with great care & precision at a very fair price.

Additionally we needed a cupboard to be built around an exposed gas boiler. Mike took time to find an almost identical design to the existing kitchen cupboards at half the price & then fitted it to a high standard.

I would have no hesitation in having Mike back to do more work for me & would certainly recommend him to others

Working as a maintenance man myself and capable of most building and woodworking tasks, I was only prepared to use someone that convinced me that their standard was far superior to mine.
I started seeking recommendations from friends in the trade and Oakwood carpentry came up stating that the chap who owns the company had been in the Carpentry & Building trade his entire working life.
I called Oakwood and was instantly assured by Mikes depth of knowledge on numerous matters that I had been given all the confidence I needed. His prices are unusually (in this day and age) always fair and his craftsmanship beyond anything I could of hoped for.
I have since gone on to recommend Mike to numerous family members and friends knowing that anyone that uses his services will be delighted with his service and attention to detail. I barely write references but am so pleased with Mikes work it would be remiss of me not to in this case.
