Northern Guitars has been established now for over twenty years. Providing Leeds with new and used Guitars, Amplifiers and Effects Pedals

The shop was opened in 1989 by ('legendary leeds bluesman', New Roscoe review) Dusty and business partner Dave. Dusty has been playing guitar for over 40 years and is one of Englands premier Blues guitarists! Dave has been involved in the music business for most of his working life.

The posters we sell are all original rare posters , we keep some in the shop and some in storeage please call for further details (ask for Dave)

Northern Guitars is a traditional 1970's style working mans guitar shop run soley by musicians. Yes we will ship outside the U.K (europe about £40 ),and you can pay with Paypal .We repair guitars and amps .

Northern ACOUSTICS (They're upstairs)

NORTHERN GUITARS is really two shops in one. Downstairs there is an extensive and varied range of electric guitars, amps etc. The service is very friendly and although there are several music shops in Leeds which sell electric instruments, this, in my opinion, is heads and shoulders above them all.

NORTHERN ACOUSTICS are upstairs and occupy a smaller area - but the welcome you'll receive is just as friendly as the one you'll get downstairs, and the guitars you'll find there are excellent. They specialise in Faith, LAG, Adam Black and Martin but also carry other makes as well such as Hofner. There are also guitars suitable for beginners and the manager (owner?) is helpful, knowledgeable and a gigging musician so things can't really get a lot better.

Except that they can because next door is another wonderful music shop that specialises in instruments for folk musicians .... Hobgoblin. (See my separate review of them).

So, all-in-all, if you want to find a guitar; if you want to look for it in a friendly place where you can have as much freedom or advice as you want; and if you want a fantastic range of instruments to check out, then go no further. Northern Guitars and Norther Acoustics deserve to be your first ports of call.
