Love this company, never let me down yet, from call staff to drivers, absolutely amazing. Call staff are so polite and caring making sure I get the right vehicle for my needs, drivers are super helpful with shopping and getting pram out of car, amazing people wouldn’t use anyone else, thanks nearby xx

Dishonest taxi driver

Picked up from works Xmas party on Thursday evening by driver E42, dropped off safely and charged £31.70 appropriately. Friday am called by accounts and driver wanting to charge for a spillage that did not happen, I did not agree to the charge as the driver was lying, he told me it must have been me as I was the last pick up however he told my colleague he was on his way to Durham and he hoped the customers turned up or he wouldn't get the fare. I was then charged 2 separate amounts of £10 and then £20 which I did not authorise, I called East Coast to complain on Friday, no return call, I asked again Monday and was told a manager would get in touch no return call, I then called my bank to cancel the payments and had to report my card as lost at my inconvenience 1 week before Xmas, 12 years of custom with East Coast now lost due to someone taking advantage of their customers.

Disgusting service

Taxi picked up my very frail mother. From Seaton Delaval, going to Newsham. The driver I have been told, purposely kept getting lost and going the wrong way to add money onto the meter. When she arrived she asked him to help her out the car, he refused but kept the meter on. Cost her £26. The guy told her he owns an Indian Restaurant in Blyth, so how did he keep getting lost even with the sat nav. Be aware.

Really gone downhill sadly - I'm changing supplier

I have used EastCoast (and before the Forrester's) for many years now as my 'go to' taxi firm. Reliable and great set fares from the coat into town and the airport - even at crazy times on a Sunday morning. Sadly they have gone fully automated - their app is appallingly designed from a CX perspective and they have a habit of dropping jobs. Not sure whether this is all since Paul sold-out to the guy who owns Blue Line - but it has gone downhill badly

Rubbish

Booked a a taxi for 6.30pm to go for a meal booked for 7 pm. Phoned East coast at 6.45pm for an update and got an unhelpful rude response. Phoned again at 7pm got a nicer response but still going to be 10 mins. One word hopeless. Went in my car and drank water.
