Nazam's

Introduced to Nazam's when being a student at Leeds Uni, 16 years ago. Fantastic value, amazing naan breads, very tasty food, can take own booze (that can save a lot of money), really friendly staff and no rush to leave after the meal. Usually very busy by mid-evening until late. Years later, when back in Leeds, I still enjoy returning for a tasty meal and watching the next generation discovering this little gem. When the bill arrives it always seems to be too cheap. Nothing posh about it, all strictly functional furniture, etc. but the food and atmosphere make it great. Its rival, 7 Spices, a few doors up has now given up competing!
The m*r*n who claimed the food was out of packets and of inferior taste probably worked for or was paid off by the other Indian restaurant - certainly had no real knowledge about Nazam's.

Nazams is a great, honest little restaurant, that is easy on the wallet, and great on flavour. It's simple, family run, and authentic. It's more like a Bradford curry house in Leeds. It's incredibly good value and whilst it's not the fanciest place, it's a favourite for locals and students on a budget.

Firstly the order turned up completely wrong. Manager spoke to us like we where in the wrong. Meat was something you'd find in a packet from Bernard Mathews.... Sauce like water, no taste... Naan was probably out of a packet and I think it was Uncle Bens micro rice.... Horrid, horrid, horrid!
