My name is Akua and ​I am a second generation seamstress with over 35 years experience as a couture dressmaker. I specialize in affordable women's made-to-measure special occasion wear: dresses, suits, jackets, coats, trousers, skirts, wedding dresses, bridesmaids outfits and theatrical costumes. I also make children’s and menswear.

Dressmaking : Couture : Bespoke : Made to Measure

​1: Send a picture or drawing of the outfit you would like made for an immediate quote.

2: Let me know if you already have fabric or if you would like us to provide you with fabric and lining.

3: Once we have agreed a price you can come into our shop or home studio to be measured, or we can face-time, Skype, Zoom or video messenger and I will instruct you on how to take your measurements.

4: We will make your garment and final adjustments are made when you come to collect it.

5: Wedding dresses and elaborate evening gowns may require 2 or 3 fittings before being ready to take home.

Standard sewing times are between 5 days to 4 weeks depending on the complexity of the design
