Was organising the repair of a friend's broken down (at home) car, as he was not well enough to arrange it himself. Breakdown service recovered it to Mr Tyre, by prior arrangement, having diagnosed a faulty throttle position sensor and a potentially faulty fuel pump, via their diagnostic equipment. Mr Tyre then asked me to collect the car as they had found no faults. In fact they had simply decided not to bother fixing it, and on collecting it it was almost undriveable, with the same faults already diagnosed. On discovering the petrol tank had to be removed to fit the fuel pump, they decided they couldn't be bothered. Car then had to be recovered again to a different repairer.
