Welcome to Moya Vahey School of Russian Classical Ballet
Here at our ballet school we teach the Legat system of Russian Classical Ballet.
Nicolai Legat was a dancer and ballet master in the Maryinsky Theatre
St Petersburg for 25 years, his students included Pavlova,Nijinsky,Karsavina,Vaganova and many more, their names are legendary.
He and his young wife escaped the revolution and fled to England where he set up a school.
He passed on his knowledge to the English dancers of the day including Margot Fonteyn,Dame Ninette De Valois, Dame Alica Markova, Anton Dolin and many more.
He passed away in 1937.
His wife opened the first ballet boarding school in Kent and carried on his teaching where I spent 5 years training. The system is taught throughout the world.
I CARRY ON THIS GREAT TRADITION.
