Ron deals with the technical side of the business. He has worked on all side of the construction industry for over 25 years (sub-contractor, consultant, main contractor). It all started setting out houses in the summer holidays as a teenager. It was this early experience that meant he caught the bug. On returning the following summer the first houses and estate road were all built and occupied. Going from pegs in the ground to homes for people leads to great job satisfaction.

Ron studied for and was awarded a Master of Engineering Honours degree from the University of Bristol before going back out to site as an assistant engineer for a concrete frame sub-contractor. He felt that he needed to work out how things were put together in the real world – a grounding which has served him very well. This philosophy continued when he moved into consultancy. Joining the practice as a CAD technician meant he got a great grounding in the process of structural design.
