I had decided to have slate over membrane for a low maintenance area in part of my garden. MLR were not cheap but seemed nice guys, they cut down a small tree, cleared the worst of the weeds, laid membrane, raked slate and the finished job looked good. However weeds grew through in a few weeks. I contacted MLR twice, suggested that the membrane was inadequate and sent photos showing the weeds. They just ignored me.
