I'm John Greenwood and run MLG Upholstery as a sole trader. I have 30 years of experience in carrying out a wide range of services, including upholstery, sewing and repairs, which I continue to provide for furniture to this day, serving both domestic and commercial clients.

While the company itself has been established for five years, my background in upholstery goes back much further. I started in the manufacturing trade, with three-piece suites being supplied to all of the major retailers.

I am experienced in commercial and private jobs and handling traditional furniture, and have qualified to NVQ Level 2 standard. My notable clients have included Next, Harveys Furniture, Laura Ashley, Parker Knoll, ScS, Furniture Village, Barker and Stonehouse, McDonald's and Marston's Pubs

I can strongly recommend MLG upholstery. John arrived at the stated time to carry out our refurbishment. He was friendly, polite and explained what was required and how he would do the work. It was finished to a very high standard and he left leaving everything clean and tidy.

MLG (John) carried out a wonderful job on my two reclining chairs and I am absolutely delighted.
The work was carried out at my home in a professional manner.
I was able to watch the whole procedure and great care was taken to give a perfect finnish at a very fair and competative price. All evidence of work being carried out was cleared away and my room left as it was found once the work was completed.
I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to all who require this service.

Very pleased with the work carried out by MLG Upholstery

MLG Upholstery have just completed recovering our dining chairs in a really good quality leather fabric. The service was really good & John’s work is exceptional.

Contacted John by chance from advert in local magazine and visited his workshop . I could see straight away that the quality of his work was outstanding but also found that he was a very personable guy . He excelled himself with his customer service and he responded quickly to e mails and phone calls . Once I was given a date for my sofas recovering, he stuck to that date and duration. John has just delivered my furniture back to me and I am beyond delighted with everything!! He takes great pride in his work and the quaLity is brilliant.
