I wouldn't use anyone else!

We had a problem with our alarm system so we contacted Minster Alarms. The ladies in the office were very nice & very helpful. They suggested a couple of things to try over the phone to save us having to pay for an engineer to come out. Unfortunately we had to have an engineer out. Within a couple of hours the lovely man had fixed the alarm. Everyone was really nice to deal with, I still can't believe how quick someone could come out! I certainly wont hesitate in recommending them or using them again.

Camera failed after 1 year. Paid over £1000 for 3 and DVR

Had 3 cameras fitted over £1000, after the 1 year warranty ended 1 of the cameras started to fail. I contacted them and they suggested a few things to try. Unplug / recomnect etc. Now the camera isn't working at all. Called to book an engineer £100 for the first half an hour!
I wanted 3 more cameras putting in I'll be taking my business elsewhere

I would like to Thank you massively for all your help on the telephone yesterday...
I have a self storage facility on Clifton moor in York and wanted the key codes sorting on my alarm system.. I callled a company out (different to yours) and they quoted me over £400 I then rung this company and spoke to a really friendly man on the phone who talked me through why it wasn't working and suggested a reset and talked me through !!
I'm extremely happy with your company and how helpful you were I got all of my alarms to work and didn't need to pay a penny thanks to this man... so I will defo be recommending you to family and friend and I won't be going anywhere else if I need anymore help !! Thank you again 😀😀😀

Extortionate!

We have used Minster Alarms for 10 years since moving into a house with one of their installed systems. Maintenance has seemed a bit pricey for just checking the sensors, main unit and battery were working - if they weren't the system would have notified us anyway. However, it came to a head recently when there was a fault with the main unit and we asked for a quote for the system to be upgraded.
While at our house the engineer gave an indication of the cost which seemed reasonable. However, when we got a formal quote it was over three times the price and equated to an hourly rate of about £180 per hour! I queried the quote and they reduced it a little bit but it still seemed very high.
Therefore, I looked at alternative suppliers and we proceeded with one of the other suppliers. Exactly the same system and parts as quoted for by Minster Alarms and total price just 40% of that quoted by Minster Alarms. Needless to say I have cancelled all further services from Minster Alarms!
