Millarde

I cannot recommend Millardes highly enough. I recently bought an outfit to wear at my son's wedding and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Liz, the owner, and her lovely team of ladies were so helpful, kind and very patient,( especially when I took ages choosing a hat to match the outfit!!!!!). There is a wide choice of clothes, not just wedding outfits, so I shall definitely be returning when the autumn stock arrives to buy casual clothes for the winter.

My son and his fiance are getting married in December 2013 and last Saturday I was out shopping for an outfit. I had seen adverts for Millarde Fashions in local papers and magazines and the shop was on my list for a visit as they stocked most of the makes I was looking at. Once in the shop I couldn't have been better looked after, the staff and the owner, Liz, were extremely experienced and couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, they were all really lovely and made my time choosing a wedding outfit a real pleasure and boosted my confidence no end. I got my outfit, I'm so happy with it, I doubt I would have got better anywhere. My dress needs a slight alteration which Liz suggested and was more than happy to do and I ended up with a beautiful hat which, having told the staff that I don't wear hats as they don't suit me, was absolutely stunning. Liz worked over and above to find a hat that perfectly suited me. I'm absolutely delighted and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Liz and her staff at Millarde to all of my friends and family.

I was really upset to read the review that Kay has just posted and we've have lots of communication regarding the incident including finding out the person who served her. We think we have come to a conclusion and it looks like that member of staff has now left us. As a shop that has been in business for over 75 years we were terribly disappointed and upset to read such a review but I hope that we have now sorted the problem and please do not be put off coming in to see us. We really are a reputable shop that offers a good service to all our customers.
