I have to say honesty and reliability was in short supply throughout my dealings with Mike Powell and my ARCAM AVR850 went from bad to worse after staying at his workshop for 6 months and for this, I won't recommend unfortunately.

I'm happy I ended up sending the AVR to ARCAM via Richer Sounds and all was sorted within 2 weeks with 1 year Manufacturer repair guarantee. What a difference! and for less money! Thankfully, the ARCAM is back to life!

A couple of years ago, when I was searching for someone to repair my ailing Arcam radio tuner, Mike was recommended unreservedly to me and MORE than fulfilled high expectations. So when my Arcam CD player needed fundamental repair and overhaul this month (Nov 2022) it was a no brainer to contact Mike again. As always, his skill, his selection of - and ability to source - the highest quality parts and his commitment to doing the very best by his customers came up trumps. And all within a week of getting in touch. Talk about "swiftly and with style"! Honestly, I can't recommend Mike highly enough. I wouldn't ever go anywhere else. Thanks Mike.

Mike has just completed repairs to the above Arcam units. He gave me a very fair price for the work, and both units are now working perfectly. I am very satisfied with the quality of Mike's work and would confidently recommend him to anyone looking for a quality hi-fi repair.

Took my Roksan Xerxes turntable to mike . He sorted out my original Xerxes power supply which needed completely recapping after 30years of service. Work was completed within a couple of days with superb correspondence. He also gave me a transit screw which was missing from the deck which was nice of him . My turntable now sounds fantastic he’s done a great job for a good fair price . Totally recommend mike I’ll be taking my arcam amp for a service soon .
