Michenuels of London was started in 1993 by three young Antique Restorers, Michael, Henroy and Miguel, (hence our name an anagram) well known and respected Restorers within our Antique trade from Camden Market, Tower Bridge Road Antique Shops and Architectural Salvage, Bermondsey’s Antique Market, Greenwich Market to The Antique’s Warehouse Blackwall.

Working as three young influential Antique Restorers, for the Antique Warehouse (Martin Tillett) owner of the largest independently owned Antique Shop in Deptford, South East London, a well liked and respected trio in the Antique trade, back in the good old days when there was an Antique shop in every town or high street. Miguel had worked previously for Sargents Ltd, a leading Office Furniture suppliers, well known for Restoration and Renovation of all types Antique and Modern Office Furniture and Upholstery of Antique and Modern Soft Furnishings to all the leading Banks Lloyds and Royal Bank of Scotland, The Savoy Hotel and Shops such as Harrods. Laid off from the Antique Warehouse in the last recession 1992, we started our business under the guidance of the Princes Trust, with our new business plan we gained funding and put it to good use, loyal, determined and enthusiastic, our combined French Polishing and Furniture Restoration experiences, from the ages of 16 years which started as a hobby, in our spare time & straight out of a reference book and evening classes at Graville Road, Lewisham, to full time work, has given us good grounding and a meaningful understanding of our trade, background knowledge passed down by way of whats commonly known as a Grandfather Aprenticeship (Alf Harding) which has given Michenuels of London Ltd a combined 88years experience and viable business in both Office Furniture, Antique Furniture Restoration and Floor Sanding.
