We bought a summer house and garden shed 14 years ago from Metro Garden Buildings. 3 years ago we contacted them to have a new roof felt and fascias on the summer house. It was done quickly and efficiently.
We have just asked them to re felt the shed roof and they have arranged this for us. The buildings are still in excellent condition !!. The customer care is second to none ! My husband says ‘Why can’t all companies be like this?’

Very disappointed, had a summerhouse installed over a year ago. Since then every window has leaked, every corner has leaked and some side panels leaked. I have repaired more than 20 leaks during lockdown. The roof leaked and was supposedly repaired, but the repair made it worse. Finally got a new roof, but now have green felt instead of the grey I had originally. From the first time I called to say they need to sort out the problems, I have not had one call of them, I have had to call them every time.

Built a base for a summer house during lockdown, longing to get something in place to enjoy the summer. Really great company to deal with. The summer house is now up and looks beautiful. The lads who delivered and set it up were totally professional - fast, efficient, courteous. Was kept really well informed throughout the process about delivery date etc and got a call when the fitters were on the way. Have nothing but praise for Metro and heartily recommend to others.

.I purchased a summerhouse just over two years ago and I am afraid it has never been up to standard. Even now two years later a window I paid extra for is permanently covered with a plastic sheet, rains in. The roof still rains in where the hut is joined in the middle when heavy rain, the hut is now boarded inside so maybe wet behind there, many problems there when first erected.
In the company's defence they did come out and did various patch up work , put another covering of felt on the roof, fillers here and there, but after a while the rains still finds a way in.
I paid nearly £2000 for this building which has never given me the pleasure i hoped for, but even if i had paid only £200 for a shed I would expect it to be fully serviceable.

Even now on checking the inside of the hut it has rained in again through the roof where the shed is joined in the middle, this is after summer rain!

So NO I would not recommend Metro Garden Buildings Ltd, Barnsley.

This Company is outstanding for its sales and service. Kirsty, the sales lady, is efficient and knowledgeable and is an asset to the company. We were told we would be advised by telephone on the day of delivery. I had a telephone call from Barnsley by Kieron at 7am on the day of delivery to say they would be approximately half an hour. They arrived here in Mansfield promptly at 7.30 and they had built and erected the shed, had a cup of tea and were on the road to their next job by 8.58am! Kieron and Martin were friendly and willing to do exactly all we required. Amazing and willing to go the extra mile. Thanks, lads, and thank you Metro!
