Chips very nice fish ok sausage ok but Vicky I think her name was could do with training in customer service

Was gutted to have got our dinner from here tonight only to get home and find the batter was not cook and a mush around the fish, no crisp to it at all and not eaten by anyone here. Sad as i do like the chips from here but won't be going back again.

wollaston fish bar was closed so thought id try merchants after several recommendations well ,telephoned to place an order to be collected 3 x mini fish specials 1 x cheeseburger and chips and a salad portion , clearly not the largest order but an order non the less, to be told quite rudely [was not you was it sue ?? ] that my order was not large enough and with an order like that i might as well come in and collect it. heres the thing i don't want to stand for half an hour or more in a queue in a hot and quite frankly smelly chip shop ,thats why i call ahead . i recommend wollaston fish bar much better service plus they take orders over the phone even as small as mine and they deliver to your door .

This place looks impressive with its certificates and branded uniformed staff. Very busy on a Friday night and so I had high expectations.

However, they clearly can't cope with the crowds as the fish was undercooked with soggy batter and the chips were even worse ( a solid mass of pale and unappetising stodge). Avoid especially on busy nights as you will be disappointed.

This place looks the part with its 'award'certificates, and crisp uniforms but the fish and chips are average at best, it's expensive and the portions are stingy. It's definitely worthy of any awards.
