At Melia Powell Funeral Service, we have been helping local families at one of the most difficult times since 2013. We are a long established funeral directors providing funeral services across Keighley, Bradford, Skipton and the surrounding areas. Our teams will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and arrange a unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. At Sandbeds we have our own service venue on-site. We also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us, or arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone.

After loosing my husband, Merv helped to arrange his funeral. We couldn’t of asked for better support from the start to the end. He made sure everything was how we wanted it and no question was too much. He was always at the end of the phone if we needed anything. He made the whole process so much easier for us. Not only did he support me but he supported my children too. The funeral was beautiful & we would recommend Merv too anyone.

Merv and the boys can not be recommended enough!!!
At a really dark time Merv and team some how managed to add a little light. No question or problem is too big, whatever the time nothing is too much trouble.
Merv always went the extra mile, keeping in constant contact with every detail, was extremely supportive in all aspects during the process and after the funeral.
He is one of the most kind, caring, compassionate and empathetic people I have ever met.
Extremely professional.
I have never had to do anything like this before and Merv and the gang really were unbelievably helpful!!
I felt total comfort in trusting Merv and the team with such and important day.
I really could never thank them enough!!
Five stars just isn’t enough.
THANKYOU for giving my amazing fiancé the send off he deserved!!!

We had a funeral on the 16th of December 2019 and the service which was provided from Merv throughout the process of organising and again from Merv and his lads on the day of the funeral was above mark. This isn’t the first time we’ve used Powell’s and won’t be the last. Many thanks again. E

Such a good service from Merv & his boys. On the day of the funeral and in the preparation upto the funeral. Merv was there for support when ever we needed questions answering and just for someone to talk to. He explained everything we needed to know and made such an awful event as pleasant as could be. All the lads showed great respect and gave us such a good experience. Would recommend them to any family. This is not the first funeral we’ve had with Powell’s and we will definitely use them when needed in the future

Never have I seen a funeral carried out with the dignity, respect and compassion that my stepsons was. Merv went above and beyond for everyone, before and on the day & The lads assisting carried out their duties with sensitivity and utmost care. I would recommend this service to anybody needing tlc & understanding, it made a horrific time easier & gave so much comfort knowing our loved one was in such capable hands. Merv & the boys, you reall surpassed yourselves, we will be ever grateful for that.
