Shocking, appalling Vets. Dont recommend

1
Shocking. My friend tortoise got attacked by a fox and a lady found it who then handed it to another person that would take it to this Vets. They put the animal to sleep for being a 'stray and injured' without giving the owner a chance to reunite. When the Owner turned up at the clinic She gets told that her beloved pet has been put to sleep. The tortoise wounds appeared treatable. I don't believe this practice should be seeing exotic pets if they can't offer care in emergency situations. This pet should have been referred instead of been put to sleep 😭. Absolutely appalling. My friend and her children are absolutely devastated 💔

Unprofessional and rude. All about the money !!

No stars ….. Awful service. It’s more about give me your money first and then we will look at your pet.First time of using them and definitely the last. Very unprofessional and not understanding at all and that goes for the receptionist too.

Dreadful Service

1
We scheduled a routine appointment a month in advance. Attended 10 minutes early to be told our appointment was set 15 minutes later (clearly to give them leeway as busy) after waiting 15 further minutes after their proposed time I was told ‘we would be next’ despite now being delayed 30 minutes for a routine appointment, after a further 15 minutes, I advised I couldn’t wait longer than 5 minutes as had my daughter with me, and our dog was increasingly distressed (as hates the vets as it is). Despite being assured I was next we had to leave after waiting 50 minutes without our appointment taking place. Staff were rude and unaccommodating. Have moved all our animals away to another vet. Service has suffered over the last few years yet prices have rocketed.

A downhill but more expensive service

2
Hi, I have used Mead rd vets for many years and experienced some really good work but just recently i think the experience of going to the vets has gone downhill with a bad experience of bedside manner (if you can call it that) the vet seemed to want to get rid of us asap and gave us the bill a lot quicker. On the subject of finance we purchase 6 treatments of advocate for our small dog the price has continually risen now reaching over £70, if you go to the animed web site you can get the same product for £23, a nice piece of profiteering I think.
