For us it is all about road more than the destination. Don't misunderstand us, we choose interesting places to stop and visit but the road we take to get there is rarely a highway. Reviews

Great service every time

I've been of four tours with McTours , the first in 2011 in Scotland, the second in 2013 in Provence, France, the third in 2015 in Amalfi Coast, Italy and in 2017 I toured with them in Andalusia, Spain.
On each of these tours Brian has led the routes which were all well designed finding interesting stops and good coffee shops. There were plenty of twisty roads too and the scenery has always been wonderful. Better still the hotels were well chosen to give good quality food and rooms.
I'm booked on a 2019 tour with McTours returning to Italy. This time the Tyrol Alps. As you can probably guess I'd recommend Brian to guide any tour.

Highly recommended

When Harley-Davidson Tours Ltd asked if I would leave a review I was only to delighted to do so. I first chatted to Brian Watson in 2009 at a place called the Green Welly which is near Crainlarach. Not knowing who he was I followed a rider from Inveraray because I admired his riding and in particular his road position. It was only my second day in Scotland and I was unaccostomed to the highland roads but realised that by following this riders lines I got into the best position for every bend. So, when he pulled in for a break so did I and we started to chat. He introduced himself as Brian and during this discussion I learned about his role with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and his Harley-Davidson Tours business. I asked for a card but he didn't have one at the time so he gave me his Hi-Vis vest that had the web URL on it!

When I got home I looked up the web site and later spoke with some pals. We booked a tour in France that TC has already reviewed below. Whilst other on the tour hired bikes I'm now retired and so had lots of time to get there and back which meant I rode my HOG from Manchester to the hotel near Bergerac with several stops along the way. It was a long haul and helped me appreciate the benefits others got when flying in and having the bike waiting for them.

This was not just a great holiday it was also a great learning curve. I'd been riding for 50+ years and thought I knew how to ride but I discovered so much watching Brian ride and talking to him in the evenings. He was so patient and always willing to explain so when I got home I signed up with the IAM and have since become an Advanced Rider.

The holiday was one of the most memorable experiences in my life and at my age I've gathered a good few memories. Every day we took a different circuit from our hotel working around the area like the hands on a clock to visit different places. These routes were well planned passing along twisty country lanes and through lovely little villages were we often stopped for coffee or lunch. The views were fantastic which the pictures I took hardly do justice. You really need to go on one of these tours to fully appreciate what they are about and I cannot recommend a better company to go on tour with than Harley-Davidson Tours Ltd. or a better guide than Brian Watson. He and hiscompany are most deserving of my top marks.

Borders Blast

For a long weekend break we met up with Brian who had guided us in France at Kendal. He led us through the Lake District and stopped overnight in Carlisle. The next day we crossed to the Northumberland coast then into the Borders where we stayed in Kelso. The final leg ended at Dumfries after a route through the Galloway forrest. As we have come to expect from Brian this was a well planned route with regular stops are great places. A great weekend with good company and lovely roads for biking. I cannot commend this tour company enough. They are trully wonderful and will take expert care to ensure you have an outstanding and safe trip whether that be your main holiday or short break.

Fantastic French Fun

5
We toured the south of France, mainly in Dordogne region and had a ball. The hotel was great as was the food and the routes were well planned and a pace was maintained that pleased all riders in our group. Brian was a great guide and well informed. He took us across many roads that were off the usual tourist routes giving us unique experience of rural France. I've been on other motorcycle tours and a few of my fellow riders have been on other Harley tours but we were unanimous that none took the same care or were as well organised as this.
