Proper Customer service

I was recommended to use Martin's Of Glasgow by a friend. I thought I needed my watches serviced but Martin recommended trying a new battery first and reverting to a service only if required. He also managed to get another watch going with a quick battery change that the manufacturer had returned due to no parts. Martin and Gail drive a proper old school customer service focussed business....There will be no other place I go to have watches looked after and I also have my eye on one of his fantastic looking Smiths wristwatches. I cannot recommend this business highly enough.

Established in 1987, Martin’s were originally a ’classic’ high street jewellers in Glasgow. Cyril has been assisting us with the repair and restoration of vintage quartz and mechanical watches since 2021. His experience and extensive experience and knowledge (and personal stock of obsolete and discontinued parts!) enables us to return many watches with sentimental attachment to owners. who have previously been informed their treasured watch cannot be repaired.

Delighted with result.

My Omega watch had stopped and as it had a sentimental value I certainly wanted it fixed. The vendor i bought my watch from, and who I trust completely advised Martins for a " proper " service and/or repair. I popped in to the shop ( very old school, and I loved that and was given an estimate. This was pretty much what I'd previously been told so I agreed. The watch came back, on time, and looked like new. Couldn't have been happier and also found that the plain English spoken in the shop suited me perfectly. I'll go back.

Excellent Service and advice

My aged speedmaster was serviced/ repaired about 4 years? ago and came back to me keeping better time than it did when new in the 1960s . It still behaves perfectly . When Martin told me what it was worth l tend to only use it now and again but it still runs beautifully. Super folk to deal with and they gave me sound and honest advice re my other watches as well.

One of a kind.

Martins is probably the only establishment of its kind left in Glasgow. They really do repair jewellery, they really do repair watches, clocks and barometers and they really do tell you the truth. Over the years we have taken a variety of jewellery items and watches to them and every repair has been the result of real craftsmanship. They are professionals and long may they continue.
