Marmalade Cafe

We were very ill after eating the prawns here. My very elderly mother fortunately didn’t eat them and was fine but I was very ill and my husband too. My sister rang the next day to inform them, and whilst they agreed it was probably the prawns they didn’t seem too concerned - which rang alarm bells.
In a lesser note the manageress was curt to the point of rudeness during our visit and the seating at the back is dreadful.

Got seated at the very back of the cafe outside the toilets. Very cramped and uncomfortable. I then decided I didn't want to eat there. My husband and his son ordered the Welsh rarebit. The cheese had an awful taste like it was going off. It upset my husbands stomach after. £9.00 for one round seemed very expensive to me. The menu was varied but very expensive £9.00 average price for a sandwich! My daughter and I had a bottle of water. The table was so cramped there wouldn't have been enough room for us all to eat anyway! A blonde woman obviously the owner kept staring over at me numerous times making me feel so uncomfortable I felt I had no option to leave. Obviously wouldn't visit again.

Excellent food very pleasant staff and location perfect what more could yo want in a beautiful seaside village

The two one-star reviews for Marmalade on this site are way out of date before the business changed hands. The new owner has turned Marmalade into the best place of its kind in Rhos on Sea. Highly recommended: excellent, affordable food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed.

When't 27/08/2016 I walked in said Hi no reply got to the counter 2 staff looking at me stud there God nows how long salley I presume the boss shouting come to the counter and serve he got to the counter I keep saying sorry can't understand you got inpretion he didn't want to be there! Went out side talking to customers had a smoke salley came out very abrupt no smoking policy a customer complaints about me no no smoking sine In site the other cafes on the same Street or more friendly helpful better atmosphere they seem to smile 😊😊first and last time go there !!!!!!
