I tried to start my car after five and a half months of Lock Down. Oh dear! Nothing happened at all. Then realised that I had not had bothered to get the MOT done, which had disappeared in the anxiety and confusion of becoming self isolated! I rang the garage and as if by magic my misery evaporated away, due to the kindness I received in that phone call. Not to worry someone would come and collect my car. They would take it to the garage, diagnose why the car refused to start, do an MOT for me and yes if I wanted them to they could also do a service for me. I had asked as I felt it would give me confidence when I took the car back on the road. They fulfilled my dreams with kindness and efficiency. They even delivered my car back to my home. They are an excellent garage and what is even more important to me they are approachable, generous and caring in their treatment of their customers. Well done Markham & Smith, I recommend you with confidence.

Recently I needed some work done on my beloved Yr2000 Jaguar XJ8. Coming from an engineering background I do much of the work on the car myself. But theres a limit to what can be achieved laying on your back in the driveway. Having had some very bad experiences in the local garages. I was recommended Markham & Smith by my son who has a 1977 Triumph 2500. I had a corroded fuel pipe in difficult spot with poor access. The original Jaguar part was no longer available, Jason and the boys removed the corroded pipe, fabricated a new part and changed the fuel filter. The car was ready on time, it came back clean and tidy with no greasy marks and they charged a reasonable price for the job. I have returned since to get the aircon serviced, which was not working efficiently. They did a test, check and re-gass of the system. A less scrupulous garage could have told me anything, but the boys did a free check after a week and declared it leak free. Very impressive!!
