Dissapointed.. Can't get a glass of wine. Have to buy a bottle at £22.. Only I bottled beer for sale that I've never heard of before. Background music playing. Not my thing.. I like a juke box. My friends & I have been going to (Monkey Bar) for over 35 years and been through the changes. But Cocktail Bars are taking over everything.. It's so sad for the older regulars. Please bring back the the old Market lane. Thanks Vera..

Spoilt a good bar

Before covid The Monkey bar was a favourite of mine and I would have given 5stars. My friends and I went there last Friday. There was no music, which we always had, Poole table had been taken away and televisions were off. The lads like to watch sports.Turning it into a cocktail bar has taken away its character.I may add its prices have really increased. It was always packed on a friday night, however we wont be going in again.such a shame as we have been going in for years! Such a shame to spoil a good bar.
