Business overview
We have the most amazing, loyal clientele, some of whom have been coming since week one, and can honestly say we've never hankered after the throngs of passing trade on the High Street. We're not for everyone, but if you like simple, authentic Spanish food (we ship our olives, olive oil, charcuterie, nuts, piquillo peppers and baby broad beans, as well as other products ourselves direct from artisan producers in Spain, not to mention the best espresso beans from Puglia!), an idiosyncratic but well-annotated wine list - all Spanish, of course - and an atmosphere which, if I was just a little cheesier I would call "simpatico" - we'll settle for congenial - you might want to come along.

Mar I Terra
4Both were quite pleasant. The fete was interesting because of the laid back village to watch this country becoming more continental as the years go by: the ambiance was laid back, with performers and food.
However, by that time we were quite full having made a detour via Blackfriars to have dinner at Mar I Terra for some proper Spanish tapas. All felt right in place, relax and good. We had the classics: boquerones, patatas bravas, some meat balls and some cervesa to wash it. All tapas are around a fiver except the jamon, which at thirteen and a half quid isn't cheap. It's very very good and probably worth it though.

4A little gem
5In my opinion the only way to eat at Mar I Terra is go with a few friends so that you can reach across most of the menu and fill your table with a wonderful selection of almost everything.
To pick out a particular dish would be foolish, as I can only suggest trying them all; it really is as simple as that!
The only complaint I have is that you can’t book in advance, and so you may have to wait for a table, but it’s worth waiting.
Whether you decide to have a sherry or some wine or beer with your food – the flavours of Spain come through with a resounding success. I do have to make a recommendation though; please do try the Premium Spanish brandies as they are fantastic.
