Manoj Cataract Centre

I set up the Manoj Cataract Centre to provide a dedicated high quality bespoke service to those patients who want to explore all their options when it comes to cataract surgery. The options provided by the centre are

1. Personalised NHS cataract surgery from two local private hospitals for those patients who:

a. wish to be operated on by Mr. Manoj himself and who would like to see Mr. Manoj personally for the pre and post op care.

b. Wish to be treated in a private hospital under the NHS free of cost.

2. Premium IOL cataract surgery in the private sector for those who wish to benefit from the new advances in IOL technology not available on the NHS, and are happy to pay for this service.

Having gained a huge expertise in cataract surgery, I found myself dealing with an ever increasing enquiry for premium IOLs (multifocal, accommodating and toric IOLs) that is not provided on the NHS. Also very few cataract surgeons have expanded their scope to provide premium IOL surgery.

I found that due to lack of awareness of local expertise, patients were drawn to far away high street chains and clinics. Many of these companies make money by employing "flying doctors" who are not local surgeons, but visiting from far away places on the day of surgery. When patients had post operative problems, they ended up seeing the non-medical technicians.

I decided to set up the Manoj Cataract Centre to provide a dedicated high quality bespoke service to those patients who want to explore all their options when it comes to cataract surgery.
